Since 1981, U.S. Specialties has served satisfied customers, providing sales, service, and installation of construction products used in commercial, hospital, industrial, religious, and educational marketplaces.

In 2022 U.S. Specialties teamed up with Best Blind & Shade, who has served commercial and residential clients since 1990, to provide and install all types of window treatments, including blinds, shades, and shutters.

Paul Bickel and Mark Lobdell founded U.S. Specialties in 1981, and Selby Love joined U.S. Specialties as an officer/owner in 1983. Russ Ensch founded Best Blind & Shade in 1990. Bickel, Love, Lobdell, and Ensch continue to lead a team of nearly 50 dedicated employees who are here to serve you.

Project managers with expertise in specific product areas (doors and hardware, specialties, casework, overhead doors, blinds & shades) handle each project from start to finish. Factory-trained professionals are available for service and installation. Installation personnel are supported by complete fabrication and warehouse facilities and a fleet of service and delivery trucks.

Headquartered in the Spring River Business Park in Louisville (which was developed and built by Paul Bickel and Mark Lobdell) U.S. Specialties / Best Blind & Shade actively serves Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana.
